Nico obtained both a B Juris and an LLB degree from the former Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (now the North-West University). He was admitted as an attorney in 1998 and has practiced continuously since then, bringing over 27 years of experience in the legal profession. He also holds the right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa.

His primary fields of practice include commercial law, contractual law, municipal law, delictual law, and family law. He has significant litigation experience and regularly represents clients in both the Magistrates’ Court and the High Court of South Africa.

In addition to his legal practice, Nico contributes to legal education as a part-time lecturer at the Vaal University of Technology in Vanderbijlpark. He lectures on various law-related subjects, including Occupational Health and Safety Law and Mediation Law.
